Lund University announces a position as Associate Senior Lecturer in Economic History. The position entails research and teaching at the Department of Economic History, Lund University School of Economics and
Management. To be considered qualified for appointment as an associate senior lecturer, the applicant must hold a doctorate or an equivalent foreign degree.
Priority will be given to candidates who have completed their degree no more than five years before the last date for application. Candidates who have completed their degree earlier than this should receive equal priority only if special grounds exist. Special grounds include leave of absence because of sickness, service in the defence forces, positions of trust in trade union organisations and student organisations, parental leave and other similar circunstances.
The holder will conduct research in economic history. The position entails at least 60% research. The position may also include teaching, supervision, and administrative work. A position as associate Senior
Lecturer is limited to four years, with a possible extension of one year if the lecturer has been engaged in teaching more than 25% of the working time.
Applicants with other than Swedish as mother tongue are expected to be able to teach in Swedish in two years time. The associate senior lecturer is expected to be active in applying for external research
funding.
