The Department of Economic History at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden will be the host of the Swedish Economic History Meeting 2011. The conference will be held in Gothenburg, Sweden, on the 25th to 27th of August, 2011.
Some sessions will be in English. Thus, we welcome proposals for sessions and papers in English, if the topic of the session/paper is concerned with Swedish/Scandinavian economic history or of Sweden/Scandinavia in a comparative perspective. Be advised that the main language of the conference will be Swedish.
Proposals for sessions and papers are to be sent to the coordinator of the meeting, Klas Rönnbäck (klas.ronnback@econhist.gu.se). Proposals for sessions are to include a heading and a short description of the goal of the session. We assume that people proposing sessions also are willing to organize the session in question. We ask for proposals to be sent to us by the 18th of December, 2010, at the latest.
People responsible for sessions are expected to find a chair and commentators for their sessions. The sessions are open sessions, so scholars interested in participating in specific sessions have to contact the session organizer.
You will be able to find more information concerning sessions, papers and the practical arrangements on our website closer to the conference: www.econhist.gu.se/ekhistmotet2011.
Welcome!
Christer Lundh, professor
