Call for papers for EHA session(s) at the American Historical Association
meetings, 1/2011
Publicado el 24-11-09.
The Economic History Association’s committee for liaison with the
American Historical Association solicits panel proposals for the AHA
meeting in Boston January 6-9, 2011 (i.e., one year from this coming
January). The EHA has sponsored AHA sessions in the past which have
attracted a good audience and raised awareness of the potential for
collaboration between both organizations. For the 2011 AHA, we wish
to select at least one (and possibly two) panels on a theme of mutual
interest to both organizations. We are open to all suggestions
concerning subject matter and time periods, including proposals for
traditional paper presentations with commentators, special discussion
forums, or a panel that appreciates the contributions of an especially
important book or scholar in a field of joint interest across the
disciplines of economics and history. Interested parties should email
Cathy Matson (cmatson@udel.edu), Anne McCants (amccants@mit.edu), and
Dan Raff (chair) (raff @wharton.upenn.edu). Proposals should include a
description of the panel’s or each presenter’s goals, depending on the
kind of panel being proposed. Please send all materials to the three
committee members by December 15, 2009.
