Theme: City and Society in European History
The European Association for Urban History (EAUH) was established in 1989 with the support of the European Union. Conferences are organised every two years. These biennial conferences provide a multidisciplinary forum for historians, sociologists, geographers, anthropologists, art and architectural historians, economists, ecologists, planners and all others working on different aspects of urban history. This invitation is extended to all scholars who make urban history a distinctive and innovative subject.

The deadlines are:

• Call for papers: 1 October 2009 - 1 December 2009
  
• Acceptance of papers: 1 February 2010
  
• Conference registration: from 1 March 2010 to 1 June 2010
  
• Last date for registration without surcharge: 1 June 2010
• From 1 October until 1 December 2009, paper proposals for the accepted sessions of the conference can be submitted on the website, where you can also find the list of sessions and further information about this conference (www.eauh2010.ugent.be/paperproposals).
  
• By 1 February 2010 at the latest, the session organizers will inform you if your paper has been accepted. Conference registration will start on 1 March 2010.
