|
Every three or four years, the IEHA organizes a World Congress which is an excellent platform for experts in world economic history to present works, exchange information and views, and also set the research agenda for coming years.
Recent congresses have been held in Utrecht (XV Congress, August 3-7, 2009, see www.wehc2009.org), Helsinki (XIV Congress, August 21 -25, 2006, see www.helsinki.fi/iehc2006), Spain (XII Congress in Madrid, August, 1998).
Nowadays, the IEHA currently has 45 members from Africa, America, Asia, Oceania and Europe. Among the members there are national associations, and associations that specialize in a specific discipline within economic history. AEHE is a member of IEHE.
The next World Economic History Congress will be held in Stellenbosch, South Africa, July 9-13, 2012
