Summary of the activity:

The IX Congress has intensified scientific and academic exchanges with Latin America, including specialized sessions on the economic history of that region, and has also strengthened the institutional relations with Latin American economic history associations. To this end, a workshop on Latin American Economic History was organized, with the participation of the presidents of associations of EH in Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile and Spain.
There was intense scientific activity in the 18 meetings held: two plenary sessions, poster sections, one for the presentation of doctoral theses and another for the presentation of research projects by their teams.
The IX Congress also covered another recent issue of concern to us: the role of scientific journals. Given the excellent positioning of economic history journals in the ranking of journals in economics, history and social sciences in general, and the possibility of accessing the JCR, the ISI, a discussion panel was set up with the editors and directors of the four major economic history journals. The response to our interest has been immediate. The ISI has included two of our journals: Revista de Historia Económica-JILAEH and Historia Agraria. |
